Since 2001, Tool Dynamics has offered die coating technologies brought to North America by the TD Center in the 1980s. At that time, the TD Coating process was extensively tested in real-world manufacturing plants. Among these applications was the manufacture of stainless-steel welded tube exhaust assemblies. The unprecedented success of regular D-2 tooling on forming stainless-steel welded tube, one of the most difficult applications available, proved then what TD Coating could do. Tool Dynamics has continued to develop and improve the original TD process.
